This is the kind of game that usually scares me. However, the Flames really seem to have grasped the message of 50/50 hockey. You listen to the post game interviews and every player seems to have bought in. No it's not the run and gun exciting play that they have tried to play the last two years, but they are now seeing the results of this system and know that they can get goals from it.
Just keep to the system and the other team will break. There has been no noticeable difference in play from being up a goal or down a goal in the last little while. They aren't panicking when they get hemmed in for a bit. They continue to press when up when it is warranted.
I think they win this one 3-1, but it's actually much easier than the score indicates.
