I was just telling the truth. Maybe that's hard to some people to read. It's no secret that the Flames top players haven't been having strong starts to the season.
It's not easy to make the all-star team. Only 6 forwards and 3 defence can go.
Burns, and OEL are shoe ins for the defence. Hamilton has been pretty good for the Flames but you can't really put him there over Doughty IMO. Plus Fowler has been very good this year as well.
For forwards you have McDavid, Carter, Pavelski, Kesler, and Getzlaf as guys that should be there based on the seasons they are having. Vancouver needs a representative, it'll be one of the Sedins.
Gaudreau is a great 3 on 3 player, but he was injured, and hasn't been putting up all star numbers this year.
If he continues at his post-injury pace though he'll probably make the team. He'd be more entertaining then all of the others sans McDavid. I'm not sure if the NHL takes that into consideration.
Judging by the other goalies in the division, Johnson and Jones will be on the team based on merit so the jihad probably isn't even needed.
