Truthfully it's the Raiders O-line and Tandem of Cooper and Crabtree that really differs them from KC to me. Yes Carr is really good, but he's playing with superior machinery.
For Denver I think Simien would be fine with a better O line and running game.

Aldon Smith will help the pass rush. Goodell's really been dragging his feet on reinstating him though. Not exactly sure why it's taking this long as you either reinstate him or you don't but it's looking like he should be reinstated by next week which means he should have a few games to get in game shape for the playoffs. I will say that Raiders receivers are pretty terrible when it comes to drops. They had 5 drops yesterday and two were key 3rd down drops and one was an easy TD in the end zone that Crabs dropped. Raiders are 3rd in the league I believe in dropped passes and Carr's numbers would be considerably better is his receivers were more dependable.
