I still wish he was a little more physical than not at all. He doesn't need to run guys. Use his body more to win puck battles - the guy is 6 ft 2 210+ of solid muscle and he plays like he's 5"9 170.
Monahan adding a physical component to his game would make him one of the best players in the league.

People say things like this as if it is a simple decision on the part of a player to play "physical" or not. Like they all make the choice, or are able to flip a switch and just change the way they play. It is actually a lot more complicated than that. Monahan is not a physical player and likely never will be. It doesn't make a lot of sense to complain about what he is (considering that what he is is an amazing NHL player), not to pine for what will probably never be.
