People are fine with pipelines running near them.
Raw sewage lines runs throughout the city around them. High pressure natural gas lines have significant corridors within cities. So do Gasoline and oil. These were built in an era when people didn't have immediate access to information that reinforced their stupidity.
The rail road and highways would not get built today. Farming and Ranching would not be industries if they started today. Fire would probably be banned as an environmental / health risk if it were invented today.
The protest everything movement is as ridiculous as the US electing trump. So if a pipeline has been approved by the government anyone treasoassing on the right of way or blocking public roads should be removed and arrested.
