Actually, this might be one of those years where it may actually be more advantageous to trade the 1st in a trade for a young player that is more ready to help. Sort of finding a similar kind of thing as the Hamilton trade, but instead for a young RWer. The Flames are closer to competing than waiting for what a 10th-15th OV pick would become.

And I'm the type that would rather the team have closer to 10-15 picks per draft than 7 or fewer.
