A loss is a loss, and the Flames are 5 games below .500. Why the NHL refuses to go for three point total games is beyond me. Probably the belief it keeps more teams in the playoff race. Sell more tickets and make more money.

I hear you but I stopped doing that a long time ago. It's a tie. And one team gets a chance to get more, that's the way I see it.
But I do agree that's its misleading but more because the win column isn't split.
The Flame are 10-13-2, so they've lost 13 games in regulation, and 2 in a gimmick of 3 on 3 or a shoot out, but you have dig a bit to find their regulation wins.
Their real record is 7-13 in regulation which is brutal, and 3-2 in the extra stuff.
When you look at regulation win % the Flames are 26th at .350, ahead of Florida, Arizona, NYI and Vancouver (.214)
