The only time I watch trailers is for movies that I borderline want to see. I let the trailer sway my decision.

A movie that I'm already anticipating anyway? I maintain radio silence until I see the movie, then I delve into reviews/trailers/fan response afterwards.

Side note: I probably should have broke my own rule for "The Hobbit" since that was an abomination to fantasy film and an abhorrent and utter disaster when it comes to keeping in line with Tolkien lore. I legit almost barfed at the budding love story between a dwarf and [a made up] elf, and almost walked out of the theater when the love triangle formed. So much wrong with those movies. I suppose the only reason I stayed was because I'm cheap and wouldn't give the studio my money for free.
