This is exciting, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. He's still in his first full pro season, so odds are he will not be quite ready to play in the NHL. Still, I want to see how he looks and compares to the rest of the regulars.
I have a hunch that he reads the play very well, and often makes the right decision. As with any inexperienced player, he'll make a wrong read or two. Also, he'll have difficulty adjusting to the speed of the NHL game, and get caught by it a couple of times.
I'm saying this now so that people don't flip out when/if it happens. Expect it, and then be pleasantly surprised by anything more than that.
