Right. That's kind of my point. The history of the franchise gives it gravitas, but out of context, a name like the Canadiens, Canucks, Rangers, etc. sounds rather silly. Knights (which is what they will be known as most of the time) is a perfectly acceptable name. Adding Golden was probably necessary due to conflicts with the London Knights. The name and color scheme are fairly unique, which the league could use more of.
Golden Knights is not better or worse than any other team name in the league.

Golden Knights is still awful. Take off the Golden and it's fine. Yes, I know there are trademarks, etc.
