I just ran the numbers. Wideman's last game before being suspended was Jan 27, 2016. He did play three games after his suspension, but I haven't adjusted for that.

PP% up to January 27 - 13.5% (30th in NHL, 29th was a full 2% higher)
PP% after January 27 - 21.7% (7th in NHL)

Coincidence?
