No its not, the design and approval cycle for a military jet is a lot different then building civilian planes. Bombardier doesn't have the expertise, manufacturing lines or experience in building a modern jet fighter.

You don't start building jet fighters for a contract of 65 fighters, and the competition internationally for military jets is effectively closed.

People need to give up this idea that Canada can enter into the military jet market these aren't armored vehicles that we're talking about it.

On top of that I wouldn't trust Bombardier to build bikes on time and on budget let alone a multi role fighter.
