The point about cash donations is correct. When $1 is donated, the CIFB can leverage that into $5 worth of food. The other thing to consider is that this time of year is a huge source of donations, food and monetary. After the Christmas season there is a drop off in donations as people are recovering from bills, but no decrease in demand and a food drive in January/February would most likely have more of an impact. That was how it was explained to me when volunteering there anyway, it might have changed though.
Either way, I'll volunteer the use of my truck to move stuff if it's needed. Can also try to get some actual CIFB boxes to make transporting and storage easier.
