Over the course of the last 270 games the Flames have not had a special teams unit rank in the top half of the league. The PK has been down right terrible since 2013/2014 when they were flirting with the middle of the pack.
The fact the team is getting worse production from these groups now that they're supposed to have a better team is pretty shocking.

So doesn't the fact they have been terrible over a long stretch (over two coaching regimes) suggest it has more to do with the players?
I guess it would be interesting to see from the stats guys, but are there really any PP and PK coaching gurus, who consistently turn around special teams?
