Kind of irrelevant, or actually very astute by the NHL. The Scott story, which I loved (I lie, I was indifferent too), falls into the it was funny / fun the first time category. If internet trolls started to repeat history for every NHL All Star game, it would go from being something neat and special to being a real big pain in the ass and ruin the game (if that's even possible, it is the All Start game after all) pretty quickly.
This years incarnation of the "Scott story" simply wouldn't be exciting, because it would have lost all it's uniqueness moving forward.
Good decision.
