So not a lot of change after the weekend other than Louisville and Washington State basically eliminated themselves from possible playoff contention by losing.

Provided everyone wins out (not gauranteed by any means) I think we know the following for sure:

1. Alabama and Clemson are locks for the playoffs.

That's it, and that leaves two spots up for grabs and there are some very interesting situations that could unfold:

the winner of Michigan/Ohio State will be the only other team in the country to finish with only one loss. Michigan can theoretically win the Big 12 and would be a lock for the playoffs if they do. If they lose they are done.

Ohio State looks fantastic but for them to make it they need to win against Michigan and then hope the committee thinks they are better than BOTH Oklahoma (should they win the Big 12) AND Washington (should they win the PAC 12). Washington would only have a single loss if they win the conference so how do you put a two loss team ahead of them?

Wisconsin and Penn State (assuming they both win this weekend) are hoping Ohio State blasts Michigan as they would then play for the Big 12 championship. The winner will still be a two loss team but there's no way Ohio State can go to the playoff at the expense of the team that won the same conference.

Really the Big 12 and PAC 12 are on the outside looking in right now as only one of them will even have a chance and to do that they need to be ranked above Ohio State.

If Florida somehow beats Alabama to win the SEC then it really get's fun.
