He's playing like Johnny was earlier, trying to do it all himself. I think that's partly because Monahan gets rid of the puck by passing into traffic so the recipient is unlikely to get it or making passes directly to the opposition. It tempts players to try to do it themselves. As Monahan's play improves, I think this issue will sort itself out.
