And he's got to earn those 100+ games to be able to compare them which doesn't look very probable. Granlund didn't just get his games served on a platter. He worked very hard, especially on his speed and defensive game and earned every minute. The way Shinkaruk is playing and his lack of effort I doubt he ever gets to as many games Granlund has now. He looks like AHL fodder to me unless he learns how to skate hard and play in all three zones. He's not good enough to go on strictly skill and his above average shot.

Granlund looked great for the Flames in the first half dozen game of his various call ups, then after that he was invisible and could easily be accused of going through the motions.
Hardly the aggressive hard worker you describe imo
