If someone had been in a red state, didn't vote, and was protesting there's lots of words that would be applicable.

Some would say it's hypocritical, I don't think it really is but it does seem incongruous.

Regretful is another word, if someone thought that it was in the bag so didn't bother to go.

Epiphany if someone suddenly realized that they'd done the wrong thing.

So yes it may be stupid that they didn't vote and now are protesting, people do stupid things, but so what? Doesn't change anything.

People in a very blue state not voting because their vote won't make a difference then protesting I don't see as a big deal.
