I've got our company tickets to the Chicago game on Friday and I also have the kid to myself this weekend while the wife heads to Banff. Hes about 9months and I'm thinking of bringing him along. Any tips on how to hold him? I'm thinking of bringing that sling so he can hang off the front of me but others saying just hold him. I've already got the big earmuffs for him so no worries there (and a Gio jersey of course).

Just wondering if anyone had any awesome ideas or 'life hacks' or whatever to make it go a little smoother. His bedtime is usually 8ish anyways so I'm guessing he'll crash pretty early on
Our daughter is almost 5 and has been to about 70 hockey games in her life - when she was an infant around your son's size, I took a carrier (ring sling, then a wrap) to carry her into the dome - zipped her up inside my jacket, but then held her on my lap for the rest of the game. If I had to take her out into the concourse, I'd usually put her back into the ring sling.

She slept through the majority of the hockey games the first couple years we took her. It was glorious. I think there was only one game where she was fussy and I walked around with her in the concourse until she went to sleep. I kinda miss those days (though last game, she fell asleep for 2/3 periods, but she's harder to hold on our laps now!)

Have fun!
