Sting was on Howard Stern last week and did Every Breath You Take and Message in a Bottle live in the studio with his Police cover band. Listening to that reminded me of how great a band The Police were so I dug into my old library and have been listening to their stuff for their past few weeks and it's actually aged very well. The first music I bought with my own money was a two-albums-in-one extended cassette with Outlandos D'Amour on one side and Regatta de Blanc on the other. I was 11 or 12, I think, and saved up my dollar-a-week allowance to buy that baby. I also did a presentation on the cold war in grade 9 and played Sting's "Russians" in the background during my presentation. The Police was the first band I truly loved.
