Early Tanking

Was something said to the players about tanking this season to shoot for a number one? Smith looks elite! Everyone else though, looks sluggish and terrible. If we can't beat the flames I really don't know about our season. Still a diehard. Will watch every game. Just a head scratcher.

When I made the GDT for the mainboard today I noticed that the Coyotes/Flames combined point total is only 1 more than the Penguins.


Intriguing matchup this one is.

I was excited to be able to watch the group of young future star coyotes tonight...and Dvorak, Strome and Chychrun are all scratches. WTF

Do you even lift, bro?

Playing hockey is not condusive to building strength. Too many carido heavy games and not enough weightlifting. Players tend to end the season with less muscle mass than they started.

Coaching Issues Too!

t's almost as if Tippett is testing ownership to see if they have any balls at all. Sign the extension, make yourself VP of hockey ops, then make completely idiotic coaching decisions to find out if someone calls him out on it. Clearly it hasn't happened yet

I heard each party put Tippett in charge of picking their candidate. Just like tonight's lineup, he hit it out the park.

OEL continues getting rocked by opposition because Tippett has neutered anyone who would stand up for him...

It's obvious tippets system is out dated. He hasnt changed it or adapted to other teams systems. I imagine he will lose the group of the season keeps headed this way.

How Swede it Is

Carl Hagelin from the University of Michigan ... is Swedish? Robin Lehner? Alex Edler? Marcus Kruger? I don't like Scandinavian names that don't end with "sson."

That’s it… I’m calling it. They need to have some changes here.. Our PP is garbage, the PK is garbage, our 5v5 is borderline garbage, and our offense is garbage. We got DOMINATED in the 3rd period by a team who played the night before when we were well rested. Not only that… the team is as bad as we are in the standings. Can’t blame the rookies because the only ones playing were 2 on the fourth line (Crouse and Dauphin) and DeAngelo… No… this is on the rest of the team and the coaching. Unacceptable loss tonight. To get dominated like that is just unacceptable. Their best player got run by a plug and what do they do? Nothing, just let the Flames have their way. That game was just boring to watch for most of it, too.

I was hoping we would get Tkachuk, but we gotta live with what we have. The top 4 picks were all above the rest, and I read numerous times that around 5-12 would all be similar type players. No matter who we got at #5 would've given us this feeling

Define "lots". I remember the majority being happy with the options of Tkachuk/Dubois and being more than pleased with whichever option was left over. Going back to the Vs threads, there were not many clamouring for anyone else, much less a defender. Only Brown seemed to make a late push once the Button hype started after the U18s.

es yes..every team can use a smart, smooth skating defenceman somewhere in their line- up.


My bottom line prediction...Matthew Tkachuk will be more of an impact player in the NHL than Olli Joulevi.


Since when was this cupboards bare team in the position to draft for position over BPA when they have the bleakest organizational forward talent in the league.
