Also I'm not sure where you are getting your info on students leaving post graduation, if you have some solid statistics please share otherwise that is pure speculation. My brother and a friend of mine both graduated from ASU, my brother from Calgary and my friend from San Jose, both now live and work full time in Phoenix. Not a huge sample size obviously but 2 experiences I'm familiar with.

New Era mentioned the benefits of living in the Phoenix area. I also believe more vacationing/transplanted Canadians live closer to Tempe, than either Scottsdale or Glendale. That will also help.
Well, I'm posting from my house in Scottsdale right now, so...

And it's great that you decided to stay after graduation. That however, is not the norm - by a long shot.

But whatever, I hope this arena helps the franchise to stick. I agree that the location is better than Glendale. That doesn't necessarily make it perfect though.

I think it makes far more sense to build the arena in Scottsdale. But Tempe is far from a terrible location.

Edit: to further the point, students, and post-graduation young working people aren't the typical STH demographic. Older, wealthier people buy seasons tickets. Scottsdale is easily the wealthiest demographic.
