It reminds of how in Canada, the 3rd party tends to promise the world knowing the whole time that they will never have to deliver on those promises. Trump won on such a platform.
Most of the job is going over reports, looking at data, having meetings, cramming for meetings, making difficult decisions on data from these things. Data which is mundane, but the consequences can be dire. The ego-feeding moments are probably fewer than he can handle.
Maybe he will do OK though. The guy has been successful in other ventures, even if the way he was successful was through morally questionable ways. It's going to be really interesting to see.
The only thing that really worries me is how he will deal with ISIS and terrorism. They seem emboldened by Trump winning and I would expect that they will test him early.
