Well, the only thing I can really add is what happened in my little corner of the world down here.

As always, I applaud your knowledge of and insight into what goes on in the old USA.

So, I can just relate what happened in my office of 66 people.

Most are lifelong Democrats. At the moment, only 3 will admit to being Republican.

Since we work at the post office and, except for 2 of us, belong to a union, we generally agree that the Republican platform is against our best interests.

So why did at least 12 of these lifelong Democrats vote for Trump? Those are the ones who admit it, anyway.

Out of 66 people, 6 have bachelors degrees; and about a third have some college.

2 of the college graduates have become citizens within the past 10 years. One is from Nigeria. The other is from Colombia.

So, every morning about 10 Trump supporters would meet in the break room to bash Hillary. These are the same people who said they couldn't stand Cheney, Gingrich, Hannity, Limbaugh, Ben Carson, etc etc.

Immediately after the election they talked about how " hot" the new First Lady is.Okay, she is.

The part that got me is them saying, Oh, we're allowed to say that now, and we can call MissX on route00 a fat hag now because that's what she is.

Wow.

Over the past few years most if our new hires have been African Americans and Hispanics, which has led many of my white coworkers to think the hiring process is somehow rigged.
"Don't any white people need jobs" blah blah blah.

I realize this doesn't add much to the discussion. Just my corner of the world .

I go to the red areas of Central Florida (which of course is almost all red, I know) because of the beautiful springs and forests, and none of this election surprised me.

I am in Palm Beach county�� , which, as you know,is blue.

I drive past that damned golf course at least twice a month and his house about once a week lol
