Was anyone in the wide world expecting GG to be hired after they axed Hartley? I thought we would get a grizzled veteran to round this team out.
Also hate the way we have a revolving door of serviceable depth defenseman. Feel like Treliving outsmarts himself at times trying to make negligible improvements but actually taking steps backwards.

Yeah, Glen would have been a better decision a few years ago so a new group could have grown with him and then if it wasn't working out you go with the experience at this point in the rebuild.
We kind of did the opposite - Went with the coach who could get the most out of his players and maximize a roster but with a small shelf life, then once that ran out we then went to a young inexperienced coach to start growing the team again when we should have been starting to push for playoffs.
Which unfortunately was a product of that playoff run. That run may end up being a curse in the long run as it helped maximized contracts for our young stars and made the team, media and fans feel like the team was further ahead in development.
