Yup - I'm done with Treliving and Burke if they forcefeed this crap down our throats for the rest of the season. "We need to play a heavy game." Their mantra. I didn't know that it meant the players all need to skate as fast as sumo wrestlers and exhibit the hockey skills of same.

Treliving took a highly entertaining team that made the playoffs and just ignored the strengths, jettisoning the speed that annoyed better teams and the agile D that had Wideman looking good even.

Now we're a pile of crap. Congratulations on a brilliant "process" toward being a heavier team, Brad. Hockey is still a sport where you have to look at the players you have and use them to try to win. You have to react to events and trends as they happen.

Planning to have a heavy team five years out and ignoring results gets you Niklas Grossman just because you've stopped paying attention to anything but the height and weight columns.
