People need to pump the brakes a bit here.
The Savard situation and what is happening right now have almost nothing in common.
Savard was openly disagreeing with and undermining the coach. So in addition to an under-performing team, you also had that broader issue.
You have none of that element right now in place.
To say that Savard was traded just for "underperforming" is completely ignoring the real reasons he was dealt.
