Yes and no. Sanchez was the top dog, but it was a 3-headed monster of Sanchez/Syndergaard/Nicolino. I was most excited about Syndergaard due to his phenomenal tools that were well documented at the time.
Sure, he developed a breaking ball but there's no reason to say his developmental curve would have been THAT much different in Toronto.
Pure and simple, he got away and is the kind of talent that should have never been dealt. Lesson learned with the new regime I think.
