I noticed that part of his contract was to cancel federal funding to any "sanctuary cities". I didn't know what that meant so I looked it up. It basically means that several large cities in the U.S. (and Toronto and Hamilton in Canada) had made it so that city employees (including police) cannot ask someone about their immigration status unless they are being charged with something.

I guess what I found shocking was that they could even do this to begin with (randomly ask people about their immigration status I mean).
