I can't speak for other mods, but considering the kinds of things that have been said and done by people to the moderators on this forum, I can honestly say I will probably only ever physically meet someone on the forum if someone I already know personally vouched for them, and I'd still think twice. There's been some truly bad people Flames fans during the years.
Not to mention that the mods volunteer their time. They don't get paid. I guess if someone wanted to pay standard lawyer fees maybe an in person hearing might be possible lol.
