It looks like they won their league in 2004 so not really on a drought. It is kind of depressing for Buffalo their only sporting success is from a minor league baseball team.

I think the Sabres are closer to contending for a Stanley Cup than the Bills are to a Super Bowl. Neither team is that close. If things go well and Eichel progresses as anticipated, we might see the Sabres get a decent shot at it in the next 3-5 years.
