So dis, what were your thoughts on thirteenth step? Better/worse than Mer De Noms?

I agree with FDW, I like it a lot more....but I like the first one very much. I've found it addictive to be honest. When I first got it it didn't leave my CD player for about 3 months.
I love the changes in tempo across the album. The slow brooding songs are probably my favorites. Right now I'm particular to Disappear, it's probably my favorite track.
I can't wait for the next Tool album. Lateralus blew me away. [/b][/quote]
Lateralus blew me away too, and is one of my favorite albums of all time. Musically it's amazing, lyrically not much touches it, and mood wise. Well, it's dark, but it's filled with hope. It's a beautiful experience.
Supposedly they have already started recording some tracks for their next album, Tool fans. Shouldn't be too much more of a wait.
Maynard was also starting a collaboration with Trent Reznor but it has been shelved for a while because their productions studios were battling over rights or something like that. Another case of money standing in the way of art.
EDIT: Spelling
