Yep. Can't stand listening to Romanuk. It's like he's trying too hard to come up with unique phrases and wording and misses the game in the process. He also seems to have no idea when to get excited and when to stay calm.
This may be an unpopular opinion but I've always disliked listening to Bob Cole. His sing-song cadence sounds affected. Obviously, he's not as good as he used to be but even in his prime I found his PBP annoying. Probably the thing I found the most annoying is that not only is/was he a Leafs cheerleader but he often didn't even know or bother to learn how to pronounce names of players on the other team.
I don't mind Hughson. I think he's toned down the homerism over the years and calls a pretty good game. However, occasionally he gets stuck on a phrase and re-uses it over and over again, eg. "18 year old Sam Bennett"
One of my favorite colour guys was Scotty Bowman back in the day. I also liked Harry Neale until he got paired up with Cole and they did almost exclusively Leaf games.
I also like Cuthbert and Emerick.
