A bit over simplification of a statement, I know, but just a casual observation. Like he seemed to value putting in players in positions to succeed over a "strategy" which may or may not work.

Helping Hartley was that Gaudreau and Monahan actually accomplished things on the ice. They haven't yet for Gulutzan for whatever reason.
