I got the link from a RL friend and checked it out a few times, followed a few threads, lurked for a season before posting in the spring of 2001 I think it was. Made a new username in the big move of 2004.
My first impression was that this must be what its like to live in Calgary. Following the Flames through the dark days, getting bugged for 10+ years, constantly surrounded by Oiler fans, and then finally finding a crap load of fellow Flames fans in the same place ... well ... needless to say it has been a home away from home since
