Frustrating frustrating loss. Thought the flames were the better team the majority of the game, but our top players are letting the team down right now. Few thoughts of mine after tonight's game.
I'm tired of Chiasson on the first line. Tired of him going offside and tired of plays dying with him. Just doesn't have the skill to play up there. Make no mistake I'm not letting Johnny or Monahan off the hook. They both need to be much much better. Just not good enough from either of them. They need to get going and get going quickly. I'd try Versteeg back with them again. I've liked his skill game the last few games.
Wideman, Gio and Brodie just are not getting it done. Put Gio and Brodie back together for the love of God. Give Wideman less ice time. Thought Hamilton was easily the best tonight and he can take up the minutes from Wideman. Thought Jokipakka struggled most of the game. I'd give Kulak a shot next game and if not mind as well send him down.
