I think the reason countries like France have problems with "immigrants" is because they make it so difficult for people to naturalize, thus creating ghettos of second-class, disenfranchised citizens. Border enforcement is clearly only one part of the problem.
This is one of the few issues on which Bush makes any sense at all. If the U.S. wants to avoid the problems of France and Germany, they have to offer migrant workers a path to legal permanent residency and citizenship. Otherwise the problem will just get worse and worse.

Well...I agree with you some what. The problem is...not every country has the same standards as far as immigration goes in Europe. It may be a difficult in some spots but not others but it doesn't really matter because once you get in to the EU....well...by by....good luck finding someone after they get in.
