I'm not sure if you
actually expected that, but... She's perfectly free to express whatever idiotic nonsense she wants to, but doing so in the course of her job, when it's antithetical to the relationship a teacher should be building with her students and certainly contrary to an effective learning environment, definitely justifies ending her career. In that sense she wouldn't be getting fired for expressing her beliefs, but for being terrible at her job. I don't think it justifies a witch hunt or anything, mind you.
Anyway, I did caveat it with "if this is true". Who knows. If an allegation of assaulting a child were credible you'd expect them to be fired, but I have no facts other than the article posted.

Surprisingly, this teacher is black, which was a major curveball when looking her up. Very strange situation.

What a weird comment. Why would her skin colour be surprising, or matter at all.
