Thought I'd start this thread to keep track of some notable former Flames around the NHL. It's always fun to watch these guys in their new silks. I figure that I'll update this once every two weeks.
Jarome Iginla has 1 goal in 7 games with Colorado, but he's probably going through his signature slow start.
Joe Colborne is fifth in Avalanche scoring. He has four points -- three goals -- in 7 games.
Rene Bourque has a goal and an assist in 5 games also with the Avs.
Blake Comeau has the same stat-line in 7 games with Colorado.
Mike Cammalleri has three assists in eight games with New Jersey. He's not off to nearly as good a start as last season, when he had 38 points in 42 games before getting injured.
Derek Grant is pointless and a -3 through 7 games with Buffalo.
Lee Stempniak is third on the Hurricanes in scoring through 7 games. He has four goals and two assists. Also on Carolina --
Jakub Nakladal has only played two games, and has no points.
Lauri Korpikoski has two points -- 1 G, 1 A -- in eight games with Dallas.
Jiri Hudler is pointless through three games with the Stars; he'd suffered an injury earlier in the season.
Kris Russell has looked good early on with Edmonton. He has 3 points (all assists) in 8 games, and is a +7 on the year.
Devin Setoguchi has looked alright in a top-six role with the Kings through 8 games, tallying two assists.
Paul Byron is off to a great start with Montreal. He has two goals and three assists in nine games.
Josh Jooris has his first goal of a Ranger -- that's all his offence through 5 games.
Dion Phaneuf has a single assist in 7 games with the Senators, and has looked shaky at times this season.
David Schlemko has had an outstanding start to his Sharks career. He's exceeded all expectations on their blueline, and has 3 points in nine games.
Former potential future Flame
Mikkel Boedker has 1 point in nine games. Smart move, Treliving.
Jay Bouwmeester has an assist in nine games with St. Louis this season. He's looked, er,
shaky at times.
Markus Granlund has looked decent through nine games with the Canucks. He has two goals and an assist in nine games. Fellow 2011 Flame draft pick
Sven Baertschi has zero goals and two assists in that same span.
Notable former Flames without NHL contracts thus far:
Karri Ramo, Alex Tanguay, David Jones, Matthew Lombardi, Raphael Diaz.
Former Flame goaltenders have combined for zero NHL games in 2016-17.
