Snow has been reluctant to move on from Berube after picking him on waivers last year despite him playing only 7 NHL and 5 AHL games last year for the Islanders organization (granted he put up some decent numbers).

Deep down he must hope that he can get out of Halaks contract. I suppose Halak can help someone out there, but at his price tag he has to be a starter. Off the top of my head I dont see a team needing that player.
So yeah, Berube would be the logical choice to waive/place on the block. But Im sure Snow would rather a tandem that costs what Berube/Greiss does than Halak/Greiss.
