I wish they would be more forceful here sometimes. Instead we baby and allow any type of public disobedience to halt lawful and legal activity. What results is what you see in BC, random groups blocking a project that is of benefit to all Canadians based on whatever special interest that group has.

Not saying water rights aren't important but this action in ND is illegal. That doesn't mean they need their head kicked in. Just means they have to be ready to be forcefully removed. It happened in Vietnam and it is happening now. Ultimately the public and history will decide what was right, but for now these people are breaking the law. Their not completely innocent people the police are just randomly brutalizing.

Now we can discuss the larger context of law and treaty rights in the USA, but in this context the are putting up a road block and police as far as I can see properly allowing an organization that is law abiding to do its work.
