McIlrath might be interesting... but claiming him would involve some organizational gymnastics. I'm not sure the Flames want to start eating into LTIR this early in the season.
Put Smid on LTIR, Claim McIlrath, Waive Grossmann, Assign Grossmann to Stockton, Assign ??? to Adirondack.
