Timing wise, it was clear that Boudreau was the target, but behind the scenes something fell through or never materialized (likely Minnesota offered more money). At the same time, we knew based on the exit comments that Treleving and Hartley did not see eye to eye at all.
It could be worse, we could have Carlyle (who is somehow destroying the Ducks).
