I think Dougie Hamilton has become underrated. In part due to the relatively lower than expected acquisition cost, Boston trying to make losing him more palatable to fans, and his rough start on the team.

Guy still had a career year, and played solid defensively (after that ugly start anyways). There is even a thread about him now "The woes of Dougie Hamilton".

Some people have Monahan as 'overrated' - I have him as underrated now. People may not realize that since the all-star break, he has out-produced Gaudreau.

Overrated - Gaudreau. He is good, but he isn't the son of a hockey god sent down to this miserable planet to redeem our souls. Well, maybe he is, but he hasn't been "Son of God Like", just really damn good and fun to watch.

Underrated or Overrated - it is all about perception (or what you think is the popular perception around players). It isn't about how terrible or how awesome a player is. It is what the difference between what you think is the actual level of play and what you feel is the perception league-wide.
