The deal is nobody in the media really wants to touch it because of O'Keefe's past editing videos. Within that history, there's been another incident where someone was fired and later exonerated after taking O'Keefe to court and having the full tapes revealed. So some caution is definitely necessary, and nobody should take firing / stepping down as an admission of guilt. O'Keefe has resisted calls to release the full, unedited versions of the footage, which should settle all doubts. And with the decision to release them so close to the election, he's made it very difficult for anyone else to properly investigate and verify his claims. Unlike Alpine Fisher's strawman, I think it's likely that at least some of the accusations are true, but knowing which are true and which aren't is impossible right now, and very much by design, the truth won't come out until after the election.
Personally, I think it's a small number of accurate charges with a large amount of conveniently-edited footage to make it seem like there's a much larger conspiracy than just a couple idiots. But I'll be happy to revise that opinion when the full footage is released.
