I also think he may have just handed the Democrats the house. Amongst his voters (particularly in non swing states but where there might still be important house races), his supporters lose their motivation to vote in a rigged system. Other republicans are put in the spotlight about repudiating him again, and those that do will be labelled as in on the con, and further lose support amongst his supporters. Those that don't leave themselves open to targetting from Democrats as supporting an autocrat.

Meanwhile, Clinton gets this gift of a powerful rallying cry of an assault on the core of democracy: it's no longer just enough to win, her supporters are called on to help her win beyond any shadow of a doubt. Every vote in every state is a rejection of Trump's assault on democracy.

I thought before Clinton needed to tie the Republican party to Trump more than she did in last night's debate. But this might work just as well for her.
