I have not been told that GG doesn't work with young players, it was a observation after seeing Bennett and D.Hamilton playing like chickens with their heads cut off.

I think one of the main reasons why GG was hired was because of his ability to work with young players. His most recent example of this was as an assistant coach in Vancouver where he worked with the youngsters there, in particular, a young Sven Baerstchi, who the former coach in Calgary had no interest in working with.
