The Buffalo Sabres had a rough go of it last year under their new GM SportsJunky. Buffalo finished a full 10 points out of a playoff spot. That will not be the case this year. Playoffs are expected but it won't be easy.

The D will have to step up and Quick needs to be more consistent. The team doesn't have a ton of depth so the top lines and pairings will have to perform. The Sabres let in the 2nd fewest goals in the preseason and the commitment to D will continue in the regular season.
