The entire situation makes me sad. When I was 10/11 years old, my two best friends were Cree. I wish I could reconnect with them, I wonder if their Mom had to survive that. She was an incredible woman, about 4'10", she'd go hunting every fall and get a moose. They'd clean it in the garage and then freeze the meat for the winter. Hardest working people I've ever known.
